<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify;">Looking into the Perry history, I
found that R. Wilson Perry, like George Dettre, was a veteran of the Civil War,
having served as a Lieutenant in Company C of the Pennsylvania Infantry. So it
was evident that they would have known each other, at least from their military
service. Also I find that Claudia Quarterman-Perry had some half-siblings with
the surname of Norman, which is the maiden name of Ellen’s mother. Therefore,
Claudia may have been a cousin of some sort to Ellen.</p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify;"><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify;">Robert Perry died in 1905 and is
buried in Norris City Cemetery. It is interesting to note that Claudia, who is
buried next to him, died in 1919 in Georgia. She may have returned to that
state along with the Dettre family after the death of her husband.</p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify;"><o:p></o:p></p>

So I had to start at the other end of the data and figure out who Marion Stafford was.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">The photo was located in Springfield Oregon, and I also discovered that Springfield once had a resident named Marion Stafford who had died about a dozen years ago. His parents were James Benjamin Stafford and Ada Blanche Eells. That most unusual surname of Eells assured me that I was on the right track.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Ada Eells-Stafford was the daughter of Oliver Howard Eells and Mae Dority (seen variously in records as Dorety, Dorrity, Daugherty).</p><p style="text-align: justify;">And sure enough, Mae Dority-Eells had a sister name Anna Dority who married a Charles Harter, thus making her the elusive Anna Harter I was seeking. She lived most of her adult like in Oklahoma City, OK.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">The "cherry on top" came as I was perusing various Ancestry family trees and found a much earlier photograph of Anna, circa 1895, which when compared side-by-side with the image I had found of Anna Harter, proved that these were the same person.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBpGUee7eraHP60aBSRu7R0Qqe6xpGrm13xWkufl-ZUHIA6m7ow_Y7GalR8jvwswMWr1jg1kWtBfzX529nI19Pk3ENwq5tm-9EdSVjyqUajcQlNPD2g6wekMo4tmrgazcEZH2rzOK2MsZ8tgvzA0eXzclVg95LIqri8UJfWSoS6sF3c7lAFa85p1UD3g/s732/Both_Anna_photos.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="685" data-original-width="732" height="299" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBpGUee7eraHP60aBSRu7R0Qqe6xpGrm13xWkufl-ZUHIA6m7ow_Y7GalR8jvwswMWr1jg1kWtBfzX529nI19Pk3ENwq5tm-9EdSVjyqUajcQlNPD2g6wekMo4tmrgazcEZH2rzOK2MsZ8tgvzA0eXzclVg95LIqri8UJfWSoS6sF3c7lAFa85p1UD3g/s320/Both_Anna_photos.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p style="text-align: justify;"><br /></p>Kathleen Irwinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13050013527258983335noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3792420574445367391.post-16053137705647436642022-11-18T10:22:00.000-05:002022-11-18T10:22:03.139-05:00WOLFGANG, Sally (Altoona PA)<p> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAMLu0H3vhDQyrf2vCqnSnHh7jYdakw5Dlbe7Mc_qV3pE4XG27aGwWH91u_NVgbECqsLPwGzdObj4jgKLLRdcrYN5ekiyo_F8i5f983IEoDByGYEONs5sK0u4FhqZdHNOsRRqPqT8rLLN6vVkIt9louFM9w35dtOcqmadOfXAHqHsocXNsuFH1a3DOOg/s2016/Wolfgang_Sally.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2016" data-original-width="1512" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAMLu0H3vhDQyrf2vCqnSnHh7jYdakw5Dlbe7Mc_qV3pE4XG27aGwWH91u_NVgbECqsLPwGzdObj4jgKLLRdcrYN5ekiyo_F8i5f983IEoDByGYEONs5sK0u4FhqZdHNOsRRqPqT8rLLN6vVkIt9louFM9w35dtOcqmadOfXAHqHsocXNsuFH1a3DOOg/s320/Wolfgang_Sally.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: center;">SALLY WOLFGANG</div><p></p><p><br /></p><p>IDENTIFICATION ON PHOTO: "Sally Wolfgang, circa 1940's, Altoona PA"</p><p>PHOTO TAKEN: unknown photographer, circa 1942-1943</p><p>PHOTO ACQUIRED: Aug 2018, Glenwood Manor Antiques, Queensbury NY</p><p><br /></p><p>This is Sally Wolfgang, born around New Year's Day 1942 in Altoona PA, to parents James Stanley Wolfgang (1911-1989) and Marjorie Leah Woods (1911-1989).
